I Suck At Volleyball

I really do.

In case you guys don’t know, I’ve been recently recruited into a volleyball team in my workplace. Which is a big surprise. ~_~

I played volleyball a long time ago in high school for my year level team, but I doubt it was added in my yearbook’s Graduation Photo Announcements, since I sucked at it. I can’t even serve properly… I’d end up hitting an outside hit, or the ball doesn’t even reach the net. >_<

Anyway, I heard that weight training helps with volleyball. Hopefully, all my gym effort works…

But… I think I might need to focus on my serving first. Anyone out there who wants to be my trainer? T_T

ZenkX Tries…. Muay Thai?!

Well, actually…. no. XD

I can’t do Muay Thai for the life of me. XD

I am, however, thinking of taking up some self-defense/ boxing lessons from the local gym I’m working out in.

With my most-awesome-bestfriend-and-master (yep, Joyce is so brilliant, I’m just a peon compared to her XD), I’ve been going to the gym every Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturday in an effort to lose some weight (since I’m on the verge of getting diabetic ~_~). So far it’s been working out rather well, I don’t know if I’ve dropped any pounds yet, but I don’t care. Hahaha! I’m just happy that I can breathe just fine again, I’m more energetic, and I have an outlet when I get off from work. Harharhar! Not to mention there are bellydance lessons too, which is AWESOME since I miss bellydancing so much. XD

Anyway, as usual for the typical government employee, my salary would be late again, so it’s going to be a while before I can enroll at the boxing lessons. But Joyce and I were given 2 trial runs (One basic and one advanced) so we pretty much have an idea about how much a$$-whopping we’re going to get if we enrolled. ~_~

By the way, this is the man who’s going to kick my fluffy butt in the ring when I enroll at his classes. ~_~

I Wanna Play Basketball!!!

All this video taping my officemates is making me envious. ~_~

Imagine having to play basketball for almost 40 minutes, and still be able to do it the next day.

I want to be that fit. ~_~

Granted, they are not exactly the most fit of people, (they are probably going to need some creatine powders to get rid some of their belly pudge, harharhar!) but I have to give them credit for being able to play that long. Heck, I can’t even shoot that basketball ball from the free throw line. (Yeah, I suck at basketball)

Anyway, all this watching is making me wish I was fit again. It made me start looking for home exercises. There was even one about prison exercises (you know, the kind that inmates do during their stint in jail) but being a chubby person like myself, it seems… scary. ~_~

I really need to get a DVD… I miss my Rachel Brice CD. I think I’m going to better as a bellydancer than a sports person. Hahaha!

Goodbye, Pimple Scars!

Yeah, kind of weird, but I’m into a sort of business with my mother right now, selling awesome wellness products. XD

At first I was very skeptical of the products, but my mom convinced me to use them, and so I did. And wouldn’t you know it, the soap she gave me actually get rid of pimples overnight! For a pimple magnet such as myself, it’s a huge development. Not to mention, it actually helped with my pimple scars as well. I have plenty of those from my highschool days.

So what is this miracle soap I’m talking about? It’s Royale Business Club’s Royale Kojic Papaya Soap. ^_^v

And in case you’re wondering if I’m making this all up and I’m just saying these things for the sake of selling our stuff… it’s not my “entrepreneur” tactics. I am seriously, SERIOUSLY saying the truth. This soap is just amazing (for me anyway). I mean, even my older sister noticed the change, she pointed it out to me while she was three inches from my face, man! If that sort of effect is noticeable from three inches, what more if it was within three yards? I guess I didn’t actually notice it too much (due to the fact that I have been crazy busy XD) but still, it’s quite a change. XD

Anyway, if you want to know more about Royale’s other products (which include several food supplements such as Grape Seed Oil, Glutathione and their AWESOME Vitamins [which I also take]), make sure to visit their website, or if you’re in the Rizal area of the Philippines (Rizal as in Region 4-a of the Philippines okay?! XD), you can go ahead and order from here if you want. My comment box is always open. XD

Sheesh… I wish there are more products that are as effective as these…

Light It Up! Or Not…

Thank God for siblings. XD

My brother recently bought me an awesome little gadget, which I think would help me a lot. XD

They’re not really seen in point of purchase displays in malls in the Philippines, although I have seen several stalls of these around, and I am hoping that more people would be able catch up to this fad.

DSCF1237

TADAHHH! It’s my first ever Electronic Cigarette, also known as an e-Cig.

It’s a neat little thing, you don’t have to light it up with a match, and you only need one stick of it. It has interchangeable “filters”, where the nicotine is. Yes there is still nicotine in it, but fortunately it doesn’t have any of the other toxic substances that can be found in ordinary cigarettes like tar, carbon monoxide, etc. Plus the nicotine actually has a lower percentage. One of the vendors I’ve asked told me that it has 40% less nicotine than a stick of Marlboro Lights, and one “filter” can last up to 150+ puffs.

It’s really great for someone like me, who smokes for psychological reasons rather than physical ones. I’ve been told that this gadget can help in making a person stop smoking real cigarettes, so I’m hoping that it helps me.

It’s way too late now, and I still have work tomorrow. I’m going to give this baby a trial run, and then I’ll add a full review as well for thos who are interested in buying something like this. XD

New Year’s Resolutions?

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!

Oh man, I can’t believe it’s 2011 already. I’m going to have to renew my PRC license this year.

Anyway, for those who don’t know, I actually spent my quiet (but fun) New Years in Pangasinan, at my parent’s farm. Which is both pretty great and kind of sucks. It’s great because everything is all quiet and I was able to be with my family, but it was kind of boring without the usual big city fireworks show I always see when I’m here in Manila.

So I was there, of course, I was thinking of all my resolutions for this coming year. We all have that, I think.  But last year, I decided NOT to have any resolutions because, well, I don’t actually do them.

I guess it does show what a weak-willed person I am. XD

SO! For this year, I have come to the conclusion that I DO need a New Years Resolution. And my resolution is….!

TO BECOME A GYM BUNNY! XD

What does that mean? Well, with my current health status, I’m pretty sure that I need to (again) lose weight, so this year, I am determined to reach 120 pounds, and maybe even lower, without sacrificing my health from dieting. Hahahaha!

So, what are your New Years resolution? ^_^v

Hair Loss!

Something might be wrong with me. ~_~

My hair keeps falling in clumps that I feel like I’m going to have to buy hair loss products soon.

I read from a research somewhere that some diseases can be diagnosed just by looking at your hair, or in my case, the loss of hair. But when I look at the fallen hair, it just looks like it’s broken near the follicle (the part that attaches the hair to the scalp). Maybe my hair has gotten brittle due to all the shampoo and the treatments that I’ve done in the past.

That’s IT! No more hair rebonds for me. I’m going to leave my hair to it’s curly/wavy state and save myself from the panic. ~_~

One Step At a Time

Or more like 15,000 steps. ~_~

Yep, I just bought a pedometer recently. It’s a neat little thing actually, so it was all tiny and it fit in my belt rather nicely. Although its kind of a hassle to set up because it gets pinched sometimes in my belt and it resets. ~_~

But it’s still good though. Especially nowadays when you don’t know what diet pills are safe to use to lose weight. The manual on my pedometer says that to lose weight, I need to take about 15,000 steps per day. Which is, admittedly, a tall order. I used it to count the steps I take walking down and up my office staircase only to find out that it’s only 250 steps. Sheesh. That would mean I’d have to walk up and down the stairs 60 times in a day. ~_~

Anyway, I have yet to measure how many steps I take walking around my subdivision’s playground, so hopefully I can use it there and walk for an hour. I just hope that I can walk all those steps in that time frame. XD

ZenkX’s “Weight Loss” Journal: Week 4 Day 3

You guys have no idea how much this picture is taunting me right now. ~_~

Anyway, things… are not going as well as it should. I haven’t lost any weight recently, but good thing is, I haven’t gained any weight as well.

Well for one thing, I am being psychologically tortured… BY OWN BRAIN! It’s been a while since I ate at Burgoo’s (although I need the best colon cleanse whenever I eat there), I am beginning to miss their food terribly. There’s now like an ongoing war between my eating urges and my health urges, it’s like Zenkx the Foodie and Zenkx the Chubby fighting in my brain:

Zenkx the Foodie: I’m hankering for some Burgoo’s pasta or Wham burgers. Let get some.

Zenkx the Chubby: Hell no.

Zenkx the Foodie: Why the heck not?!

Zenkx the Chubby: Well, we don’t have enough money foe one thing. Besides, I’m over my calorie limit. If I eat too much in there, it’ll go straight to my tummy. ~_~

Zenkx the Foodie:  Calorie-schamalorie! It’s just a bowl of pasta. What harm can it do? Besides, I didn’t figure you for a calorie-counter. That’s not very YOU.

Zenkx the Chubby: Shaddap!!! ~_~

I swear if this goes on, people would think I’m insane. ~_~

Second of all, with the new air conditioner installed in my office, I don’t get my usual amount of sweating going on. I’m going to have to start running or walking to make up for it. Anyway, my brother is going to take me to the badminton court later on. It’s pretty fun. But aside from that, I’m going to have to walk around the village, which is going to be pretty hard. I’m going to wake up as early as 4am on Mondays and 5am on other days. ~_~

And thirdly, with my father coming home soon, I’m going to have to cancel (or limit) my purchase of Herbalife products from my cousin. The products help a lot, so if I limit it, I’m going to have to double my efforts to make sure to not gain any weight. Sheesh. Talk about dilemmas.

I wish my Rachel Brice CD would come soon. I’d rather do yoga exercises at home than to go jogging around the subdivision. ~_~

Lady Gaga is Cool, But Eye Problems Are Not…

Lady Gaga’s anime-like eyes are causing quite a stir amongst young ladies of today. Aside from asking the famous superstar what eye wrinkle cream she uses, women have also began ordering contact lens that have the same effect.

Known as “circle lenses”, these type of contact lens encompass not only the pupils and iris, but also some of the whites of the eyes.

However many optometrists also don’t agree with this look. The contacts, they said, can cause mild to severe reactions to the wearer, such as serious bacterial infection, or even significant damage to the eye’s ability to function, with the potential for irreversible sight loss, allergic reaction, conjunctivitis, corneal abrasion and swelling, in addition to other vision and eye problems.

The lenses, which are not really FDA-approved and are considered to be illegal in some countries, are not really the cause of Gaga’s doe eyed look. Her eyes, were actually digitally manipulated to achieve that look.

So ladies, be careful and research carefully before trying to emulate someone’s look. It’s great to look like your idol and all (like Lady Gaga for example) but if it poses some sort of risk to you health, then don’t even think about it. It’s better to be healthy and happy, than to be a look-alike with health issues. ~_~
