Christmas Shopping Woes

These are my guy friends that I met at an online game, and yeah, I wuv them all to bits. XD

And it’s because of them that I’m in a pinch right now. ~_~

I don’t have any christmas gift ideas for boys. ~_~

Unfortunately, with Christmas coming around, I have no idea what to give them should we have our Christmas party since, well, I’m a girl, and henceforth, have no idea what they’d want. XD

I think it’s one of the complications of being of different genders. We all have different likes and dislikes, and I’m scared that whatever I give them as a gift would turn out to be one of their “dislikes”. I mean, yeah, sometimes it’s the thought that counts, but sometimes it is a very uncomfortable feeling knowing you gave a gift that they didn’t like. XD

I was thinking of giving them, like, a bunch of t-shirts, but then again, I don’t know their sizes. Or maybe posters of women that they admire (harharhar) but then again, I don’t know that either. Or maybe one of those mouse pads that had breasts on them (I forgot what they were called XD), but then again, most of them play in a shop, and not all of them are, well, perverts.

Argh, I have no idea what to give them, demmet! ~_~

As for me… the only gift I want for myself is a pair of running shoes. :-))

There are just some times that I hate Christmas shopping. XD

Steampunk Laptop

Ya know what would be so cool?

If I had one of these Steampunk custom laptops.

Yep, I also love the Steampunk fashion genre. What can say? I love mechanical stuff, even though I’m not much of a tinker. If this thing gets broken, I’m gonna have a hard time fixing it. XD

For those who wish to be educated in the world of fashion (harhar), steampunk is a sub-culture of science fiction, and it focuses more on the fashion statements made during the “steam era” or Victorian age, when steam power was first put to use and studied. Most of the time, steampunk fashion involves a lot of leather, copper, bronze and polished wood. Steampunk fanatics tend to “alter” certain objects, like these laptops or even cellphones, so that they would look like something that came out of a Jules Verne novel.

Unfortunately, steampunk is not readily available here in the Philippines, because it’s hard to find stuff like steampunk goggles and buckles and boots and stuff. Sheesh, I really wanted one of those steampunk goggles too… ~_~

Of Dance Battles

You know what would be so freakin’ awesome?

If there would be popping battles of the all the best dancers in Youtube.

HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE?!

I don’t know about you guys, but I would LOVE to see a battle between Robert Muraine (a popping dancer from So You Think You Can Dance), Salah (a dancer I saw on YouTube) and Nam Hyun Joon (another dancer from YouTube).

Then… THEN! There would be a group battle between Diversity (The winners from Britain’s Got Talent), Jabbawockeez (from America’s Best Dance Crew) and the Philippine All Stars (2008 World Hip Hop Champions).

OH MY GOD! THAT WOULD BE INSANE!!! XD

As for the women’s division, I don’t know… the best one I’ve seen so far is Pandora, and she’s more on tutting than popping. Can anyone find me a good female popper/dancer in YouTube? I’ve been searching for someone to face off against Pandora. XD

Although, it’ll be really ironic if the Jabbawockeez and the Philippine All Stars battled… since both groups have Filipino members (or at least Fil-Am members).

I love watching popping dancers, but my loyalties still lie with Tribal/ Tribal Fusion Bellydance. Haha! But still, if these guys were to battle, I swear, whoever the judge is going to be in these events would have their heads explode from picking which one of these is the best. XD

Of Susan Boyle part 2

Okay, so I’m a little late with the news but hey…

So, the Britain’s got Talent results have been posted and the winner is the dance troupe Diversity, with Susan Boyle being the 2nd runner up.

A lot of fans were disappointed, but as Susan said, “The best people won.”

Actually, I am a little happy that Diversity won. They were a really fun group to watch (kinda like the Jabbawockeez), not to mention their two youngest members are really impressive as well.

Susan Boyle may only be in second place, but I doubt that we’ll see the last of her. From the news I’ve been reading, she’s got herself a nice record deal.

I doubt we’ll be hearing the last from Susan Boyle, even with her loss in the contest. XD
