Rest In Peace, Ryan Dunn
How ironic is this? Just this Saturday, I was laughing my butt off because of this man’s gimmicks in “Jackass 3D”, and now he’s gone.
It’s scary and saddening. T_T
Anyway, for those who don’t know, Ryan Dunn, who is one of the regular stuntmen in Jackass and Viva La Bam, died in a car crash along with his passenger who is now identified as Zachary Hartwell, one of the production assistants of Jackass 2, and a stunt driver.
Now the irony gets worse… a stunt driver who died in a car crash even though he wasn’t in a movie and he’s not driving. ~_~
A lot of people are mourning Ryan Dunn, me included. He was one of the people who didn’t have to shave or buy testoripped to be fun and awesome (yes, humor is awesome, people). However, in the reports, it was said was Dunn was drunk at the time of the accident, having tweeted an image of him drinking with friends a few hours before the accident (the image has since been deleted). Critics and fans alike are debating left and right about what happened to Dunn, and although I’d like say my thoughts on this, I think I’ll keep it for myself for now, out of respect for those people who are affected by this tragedy.
Aw, man… I wonder how Bam Margera is doing… he’s one of my favorite skateboarder/Jackass, and he’s the one closest to Dunn. The dude must be crushed. Hang in there, Bam!
Anyway, my thoughts, prayers and condolences to Ryan Dunn’s family and friends. He was an awesome dude, and will always be remembered by all Jackass fans.

HDR Photography Testing
During the PnSers Photowalk recently, I decided to try my hand at HDR (or High Dynamic Range) Photography, since I’ve always wanted to test it out on landscapes and steel buildings and stuff.
This is what I came up with:

Meh… I think it would’ve been prettier if the canal had been much cleaner. XD
Anyway, it’s not so bad, I guess. The point is, I was able to get how to do it right, thanks to my blogging (and now photography) guru, raredog. I need lots of practice for this, because I have issues with my stabilization (my hands shake REALLY badly ~_~)… I’m going to have to keep using a tripod or a monopod if I need to stabilize myself. ~_~ I’m hoping I’ll be able to use this sort of photography technique when I spend some vacation time in Pangasinan or Marinduque.
The photowalk also included a half-day long workshop on basic photography, and I was able to get a few pointers on how to use the “Manual” mode of my beloved Fujifilm S1800 (which reminds me, I’m kind of envious of raredog and one of our members… they have a name for their camera…. maybe I should come up with one as well? XD). I’ll posting more pictures of my shots soon. ^_^v
So, back to practicing! XD

No More Pets For Me
Yeah… I’m thinking that I shouldn’t have pets anymore. It breaks my heart too much when they die. ~_~
My brother’s dog, Mafia, used to have five puppies… the reason I said “used to” is because now she only has three… T_T
Her two pups, Rosie Cotton and “Phil” died, while the other two were given away, and one was puppy-napped by her neighbors (meaning they took it without asking ~_~).
I don’t think I have the heart to have another pet. After the death of my German Shep, Roval, I don’t think my heart (or my pocket) can take it. Roval was or family dog for almost 4 years… it was just a shame that the thing that killed it was a barbed wire and blood poisoning. So no, after losing an awesome dog like that, I don’t think I’d be able to get another one.
Anyway, Mafia is currently staying here with us for a while, since whatever killed her pup Phil almost got to her too. She’s much better now, though. But I won’t get anymore dogs after her. I don’t think I can take it. T_T
Everett Bradford: The Human Pyro
For those who don’t know, Pyro is actually a human/mutant in the X-Men series. As his name implies, his power includes the creation and manipulation of fire.
This guy, Everett Bradford, is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering, so yeah, I think he’s more than qualified to build something like this. It’s just totally awesome that he created something like this from cans of butane and electronic lighters for outdoor fire pits. It’s so totally wicked. XD
Now if somebody can invent some sort of mechanical flight machine so we can fly like Superman, I’d be forever in awe of them and be a total fan. XD

Emma Frost: X-Men First Class
Awww man… Emma Frost is AWESOME!!! XD
Yep, I am seriously annoyed with the fact that I don’t have money to watch X-Men First Class (huhuhu). I really wanted to see Emma Frost. She was one of my favorite characters in the story books (next to Wonder Woman, of course).
Imagine having to turn your skin into everlon diamonds and being immune to anything that harms you, since diamonds are the toughest gemstone on earth.
If I had powers like that, well… let’s just say that life would be harder on everyone else (harharhar!)
Anyway, I just really wish I could see this movie. As it turns out, I spent my “leisure” expenses on that movie marathon I did with my bestfriend, Joyce. Pirates of the Caribbean, Priest and Thor in one day! Hahahaha! Total day of male hotness, it was. But now I can’t watch X-Men because of it. ~_~
Oh well, I guess I’ll just get it on DVD… I’m going to reserve my “leisure” expenses when Harry Potter comes out. XD

Picture Taking Safety

If one of these guys fell, it would’ve been an utter “fail”… it’s going to spread through hostgator websites and become a viral video. ~_~
Anyway, in case you are wondering, the guy in the dark blue shirt who is about to plunge to his death (if this had been a total fail), is my blogging/photography guru, raredog. And yes, it seems he is opting for posing for vanity rather than for safety. ~_~
People, people… I know posing for pictures is fun, but if you’re going to do it in dangerous places, please don’t do it. This might seem like it’s going to be great in pictures, but if it fails and you end up getting into the ambulance after it, I’d say don’t bother. Always remember, “safety first”.

The Relaxing Bird
During our seminar in Batangas, I saw this Maya bird perching on one of the chairs of the event center:

Now it’s probably not one of my best shots, but I really liked it because the bird was perched there for about 5 minutes. It moved a little, but it didn’t seem scared of me or my companion at that time. It just perched there, watching us and occasionally pecking at it’s feathers.
Anyway, this also shows me that I suck at Nature Photography. Harharhar! Need to work on that one next….

Back from Batangas
Yep, we recently had out Summer Seminar/ Outing called “Gender and Development Training” in Laiya Coco Grove in Batangas. It was a lot of fun, and I learned a lot, though I would’ve probably enjoyed it more if it weren’t for the severe acne that popped up on my chin several days before the outing… it was hurting like heck while I was swimming. ~_~
Anyway, it was great. I learned a lot about the difference between “gender” and “sex” and how to deal with sexual harassment in the workplace, as well as responsible parenting. Although I think it’ll be a while before I use that part. Harharhar!
I’m still editing the pictures a bit, because due to the rainy we were having, some of the images are a little dark. Once I’ve edited them, I’ll see if I can post them up here. ^_^v
R.I.P. Randy “Macho Man” Savage
Randall Mario Poffo, known as Randy “Macho Man” Savage in the WWF/WWE universe has died last May 20, 2011.
Local policemen and roadside assistance club members said that Mr. Poffo was driving when he suffered a heart attack, which led him to lose control of his vehicle and hit a tree. His second wife, Lynn Payne, which he married just last year, was also in the car, but she suffered only minor injuries.
Randy Savage was one of the WWF Superstars that became embedded in my mind ever since I was young. My Brother, Kharlo, used to to imitate him as a child along with Ultimate Warrior. We would sit around in front of the TV just to watch them, afterwards my brother would try and get on top of mother’s headboard (or top rope as he called it XD) and jump down on us…. which obviously, led me to cry. XD
Sometimes, the WWF would show their matches so late at night that it was scheduled after my bed time, but my brother would still watch. I’d struggle to keep my eyes open just to see them, so I wouldn’t fall asleep. But I end up falling asleep anyway. ~_~
He had a lot of rivalry matches with Hulk Hogan. Watching them were great. We always thought that it was real life when the two of them are in the ring. They brawl like it’s not scripted…
Anyway, as a wrestling fan, you will surely be missed, Randy Savage. You will always be a Macho Man in the hearts of the wrestling community…

I Wanna Play Basketball!!!
All this video taping my officemates is making me envious. ~_~
Imagine having to play basketball for almost 40 minutes, and still be able to do it the next day.
I want to be that fit. ~_~
Granted, they are not exactly the most fit of people, (they are probably going to need some creatine powders to get rid some of their belly pudge, harharhar!) but I have to give them credit for being able to play that long. Heck, I can’t even shoot that basketball ball from the free throw line. (Yeah, I suck at basketball)
Anyway, all this watching is making me wish I was fit again. It made me start looking for home exercises. There was even one about prison exercises (you know, the kind that inmates do during their stint in jail) but being a chubby person like myself, it seems… scary. ~_~
I really need to get a DVD… I miss my Rachel Brice CD. I think I’m going to better as a bellydancer than a sports person. Hahaha!
